You can get yourselves registered here The current and the future opportunities for entrepreneurs in terms of export, finances, AI, and disruptive ideas/policies that need attention were discussed at the forum What hit home the most was how we could ethically use AI as a tool, the emergence of revival banking and the business clinics that were available to explore Thank you The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce for the invite. Renal Diets aren't that fancy

Image
Stop focusing too much on renal diets Renal diets are - typically designed for pets with chronic kidney disease (CKD) (chronic renal disease) A rise of serum creatinine levels - don't always mean a primary kidney disease - do not essentially mean a chronic kidney disease - could be due to a dehydration that may even resolve with fluids. There are numerous reasons like this for serum creatinine to increase in pets Next time, if your pet's serum creatinine is high, don't jump into a renal diet. Instead, pause. Request your veterinarian for further diagnosis Also, renal diets should be customized to meet the individual nutrient and energy requirements of pets with CKD at a particular time and should not be a one-size-fits-all diet simply because of the contribution of nutrients into normalizing blood chemistry at a given time "The effects of renal kibble diets" is a topic for another day for their pros and cons in a patient with a poor appetite ...

1 Year. 14 Countries

1 year 14 countries. Couldn't make it to 15 πŸ˜… Chatgpt says too aggressive - I can't deny This is just a number but Pet Labs (™️) has turned out to be: ◀️ To clients - -  one that makes a genuine impact on pet nutrition - a brand that one can rely on until each project is successful - a repeat-client brand ◀️ To us : one that keeps our innovative and technical skills alive  ✅ Pet Nutrition Revamped Last year we pivoted the strategy for Pet Labs (™️). This is not a deviation from the formulation to end product development services provided initially but an extension of pet nutrition services  Pet Labs (™️) provides more value than what is usually agreed upon during each project - my clients would agree This brought us projects that helped us make a better impact on pets and pet brands ◀️ Review and Endorse innovative pet food and pet supplement products ◀️ Contribute to veterinary nutrition related books, guides to fact check and for a foreword ...

Fascinations

Image
Innovations fascinate me Minerals from the sea, mushrooms, volcanic glass, diatoms, bacteria, wool, home grown vegetables and sea weeds - to build innovative products - Who else is that lucky, technically? I'm fascinated by what Pet Labs(™️) has become.  I've been able to work on and build quite fascinating, innovative products that have also entered  markets One day we might even scrape the sky πŸ˜… (pun intended) Not a fancy start of a business in a garage but I struggled to give permanent solutions to my clients. I'm not a fan of repeat clients for the same condition unless I see where I could take the patient to (in a positive context). Then I realized how magical nature is over synthetic medicine Not a dermatologist but my local clients seek me for the most for chronic undiagnosed, recurring, unresolved skin conditions through repeat-client referrals. Why? I don't use synthetics at all or very less of it. Chronic colitis, gastro-duodenitis, anal sacc...

Lactose Intolerance in Pets

Image
If you have noticed that your dog or your cat shows signs of discomfort, bloating or diarrhoea after consuming milk or any dairy products, he/she might be lactose intolerant Lactose is a carbohydrate, particularly a sugar present in milk and milk derived products from mammals such as cows, goat, Buffalo and sheep. Different pets can tolerate different amounts of lactose Some pets cannot drink liquid milk but can tolerate yogurt or curd due to low amounts of lactose such dairy products but what about those who cannot tolerate yogurt and curd either?  While milk is not an essential food for pets, it can be used as a supportive nutrient source of mainly sugar for extra calories and as a source of calcium, amino acids and fat. The nutrient content of milk differs slightly between species Then how about replacing mammal milk with plant based milk sources? It will not be a complete replacement as mammal milk contain all or most essential amino acids while in plant based milk ...
