Springtime Lamb & mint by Lunaandme: Pet Food Review

Lunaandme produces raw pet food and pet treats for both dogs and cats. Out of their range of meals I chose Springtime Lamb & mint patties. Let's delve into its features to see if the product is really safe and actually worth your investment

Springtime Lamb & mint patty is meant for adult cats. It is by appearance a patty, a not-so-common form of pet food that I have personally come across

Ingredient list:
Tender lamb steak, liver, heart and kidney, lamb bone, salmon oil, wheat germ oil, taurine, nutritional yeast, spirulina, chia seeds, bilberry, mint and kelp

The patty is made of wholesome ingredients and is designed to be fed raw. This makes the food more nutritious than any processed food

I love the addition of a variety of wholesome ingredients from uncommon herbs such as mint and bilberry and their oils to ingredients such as salmon oil as well as the addition of taurine. Good job! 

I have independently analyzed the nutrients and I realize that Springtime Lamb & mint patty has been given much thought when crafting the product's nutrition and portion sizing and the level of user friendly-ness of both the product and the website. They are on point. All of the hard work is much appreciated 


What I love about the product:
1. Contains wholesome ingredients 
2. Complies with label claims and the mentioned health benefits
3. Includes high quality ingredients
5. No added fillers and preservatives
6. Patty shape - easy for cats. Visually appealing to the owner

Areas for improvement:
1. Nutrition levels need improvements 

What I don't like about the product:
1. Although nutritional yeast is a good source of micronutrients especially vitamin B complex and fiber, the consumption of nutritional yeast by cats with sensitive stomach mucosae, those with IBS, IBD, gasto-duodenitis and stomach ulcers, on a frequent basis may worsen their symptoms

In my opinion Springtime Lamb & mint patties would be most appropriate as a  treat for adult cats or as a meal for generally healthy adult cats recovering from an acute illness 

I would recommend Springtime Lamb & mint patties for adult cats as a genuinely healthy food
