Sick pets are not always safe for a drip
Whenever a dog or cat stops eating it's natural for a pet owner to expect a drip of "saline" from the veterinarian
A drip is not safe for any pet patient unless blood counts (haematology) , heart condition, lung condition and if possible electrolyte levels are known
(Why I say "if possible" - it's a pity that Sri Lanka still lacks a complete electrolyte monitoring method for pets. It's a basic necessity)
Rather, wait for your vet to arrive at a diagnosis and/or decide this based on the level of dehydration
